The University of South Alabama contracted with Jordan Pile Driving to furnish and install different test piles to monitor vibrations and to research pile setup over time. The piles that were installed were an HP12 x 53 x 70’, an HP14 x 117 x 110’, a 24” square prestress pile x 81’ and a 36” square prestress pile x 89’. All piles were installed and PDA tested. The piles then had restrikes performed a 1, 7, 30, and 90 days. Once the restrikes were complete, static load tests were performed on each pile. The static load tests were setup to 750 tons on the smaller h pile and 1000 tons each on both concrete piles and the larger h pile.
